I like to say Pinterest is the lovechild of Google and Instagram. There's both an analytical and a creative aspect when it comes to Pinterest success. (And no, you don't have to be a graphic designer to be a Pinterest superstar.)
It can be the BEST thing to happen to your business. Traffic, shares, sales, all that good stuff! And the effort you put in now can reap rewards for years to come.
But, it can also be pretty confusing - unless you know what you're doing. There's a LOT more happening behind the scenes than meets the eye.
Fortunately, I've spent years focusing on Pinterest marketing (both for my own businesses and for clients). In fact, I have a specific method - called the Combo Pinning Method - that I've refined over the years.
